My research writing focuses primarily on feminist topics, and my "hobby" is researching the genre of love letters between women which I have called Sapphic Epistolary. I am always interested in proposals for specific research.

Sapphic Epistolary - A Proposal for Genre (2001) - originally written as a college research paper and limited to 16 pages, future editions might explore themes more history and specific in-depth exploration of writers and lovers. This piece has been highly modified/edited for inclusion in a print version of VoraCityBeat.com due out some time in 2004.

Internet Philosophy - In 2000 I was enrolled at Southern Vermont College and took a Philosophy class. One of our assignments was to write "a philosophy for the new millenium." I used to have this posted when my personal site was eloign.com, but I am now pointing that domain name here. That essay is well indexed on the Internet, and happens to be one of Ask Jeeve's primary answers when people ask about Internet Philosophy. Go figure. So, it is now here, under Dale H. West.
